Public Service Court Time

Do you want to play tennis for free? 

Public Service Court Time, administered by the “Good Neighbor Playing Policy”, is available Wednesdays and Fridays at the Eldon Roark Tennis Center!

This free playing time is available for adult, senior and junior players. 

Schedule:

Wednesdays: 9 AM – 9 PM on our eight outdoor courts

Fridays: 6 PM – 8 PM on our four indoor and eight outdoor courts

  • Court time is available on a first-come, first-served basis and is limited to one hour if others are waiting. If there are not others waiting, play may continue until others arrive.
  • Reservations are NOT accepted. Players may arrive up to 30 minutes early to sign up for a court.
  • Two to four players may hit on a court. 
  • Waiting players must remain at the court desired.
  • Courts may not be held by one person alone and players must be physically present while waiting.
  •  Individuals may NOT give lessons for profit on tennis courts 

  • All tennis programs and/or tournaments must be authorized by Tennis Memphis.
  • Tennis Memphis programs and/or tournaments take precedence on the courts at all times. 
  • No person shall provide or offer tennis lessons for compensation on City of Memphis-owned tennis courts except as part of approved Tennis Memphis sponsored programs.
  • Players must wear tennis shoes at all times.
  • Players must adhere to “Good Neighbor Playing Policy”
  • Tennis courts are for tennis players only, no other activities are permitted.
