SUMMARY:NJTL Tennis Memphis Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:Since 2001\, Tennis Memphis’ NJTL Summer Tennis Camps have provided a fun and productive\, summer-long experience for the youth of Memphis. Campers learn fundamental skills\, as well as how to rally and play\, paving the way for a lifetime of enjoyment. Every day is an opportunity to learn\, improve\, and have fun! \nCampers also participate in short\, daily life skills lessons from the United States Tennis Association’s Life Skills Curriculum. Additionally\, they can enter the NJTL Essay Contest\, with a chance to win an all-expense-paid trip to the US Open’s Arthur Ashe Kids Day celebration in New York. \nOur Summer Tennis Camps are held at convenient locations throughout the city: Eldon Roark (Whitehaven neighborhood)\, Frayser\, Leftwich (University of Memphis area)\, Raleigh\, and Wolbrecht (East Memphis). The 2025 Summer Camp will run weekdays from June 2nd to August 1st and will conclude with an optional end of summer Jamboree.

DESCRIPTION:Bring your “A” game for a women-only tennis mixer benefiting families supported by the Forrest Spence Fund (FSF). \nThursday\, March 27\nLeftwich Tennis Center Outdoor Courts\nCheck-in begins at 5 p.m.\nRain date: Monday\, March 31. No refunds will be given. \nThe FSF tennis mixer is a round robin format where each team of two rotates against other teams in the same flight. Prizes will be given for the winners of each flight. Check-in begins at 5 p.m. and match play starts at 5:30. Players will receive complimentary dinner and two drink tickets (additional drinks are available for purchase). \n Register as a team or individual! \nRegister HERE \nWe welcome all players to register either with a friend or as an individual. If you register as an individual\, we will pair you with a partner. D. Morgan\, the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) is the governing body of college tennis\, overseeing men’s and women’s varsity tennis at all levels – NCAA Divisions I\, II and III\, NAIA and Junior/Community College. Officially incorporated in 1978 as the Intercollegiate Tennis Coaches Association (ITCA)\, for over the past four decades the ITA has worked hard to achieve its charter goals: (1) “To foster and encourage the playing of intercollegiate tennis in accordance with the highest tradition of sportsmanship and consistent with the general objectives of higher education.” (2) “To develop among the intercollegiate coaches a deeper sense of responsibility in teaching\, promoting\, maintaining\, and conducting the game of tennis.” And\, (3) “To educate and serve those individuals and groups who are involved in collegiate tennis: junior and college players\, their coaches and parents\, and the at-large tennis public.”
