
Tennis Memphis is thrilled to partner with the City of Memphis and the University of Memphis to make game-changing renovations to Leftwich Tennis Center. The $24-million project will expand the center to 36 courts – 24 outdoor and 12 indoor – making Leftwich home of the Tigers tennis teams. The renovated center will allow Tennis Memphis to host state, regional and national tournaments – driving sports tourism to Memphis while growing the local tennis community.
Speakers at the June 10, 2021 groundbreaking included Memphis Mayor Jim Strickland, University of Memphis President Dr. M. David Rudd, Councilman Worth Morgan, Tennis Memphis Board Chair Roopan Sandhu, Executive Director of USTA Michael Chamberlain and spokesperson for the Leftwich family Scot Leftwich.
